A Playground for Humans

Dance retreats, mentorships & cultural pop-ups rooted in joy & movement.

The Playground Philosophy

When we were kids, the playground was freedom.

We climbed, fell, tried again, invented worlds — and never once worried if we were “doing it right.”

Fast forward: we grew up, got serious, and forgot that play isn’t something we “outgrow.”

But I didn’t forget.

I built playgrounds for grown-ups: from sold-out dance retreats and weekenders in Europe to Ghana Dance Camp, where strangers became family and joy was loud enough to shake the ground.

💥 I’ve lived the burnout events too: the overstuffed schedules, the zero space to breathe, the organizers too busy running logistics to feel the magic themselves. Never again.

Home of Enjoyment is my antidote.

Here, we move, eat, connect, cry, laugh, heal, and remember what it feels like to be fully alive.

This is your invitation: come play bold in retreats, workshops, and joy-filled community events that change how you see yourself.

Ways To Play Together

“Sabou has a special power to make me let go of body/mind rigidity , let go of whatever stress, feel my body in the present moment, allow my goofy side and inner child to come out and my femininity to emerge to the surface unapologetically! Also, the people I meet at Sabou's pop-ups are so friendly and supportive. These pop-ups are my happy place.”

Over the years, I’ve created playgrounds across retreats, festivals, and dance schools — and collaborated with brands like Nike, Vogue, Asics, and Under Armour.

No matter the stage or setting, the magic stays the same: people leave lighter, freer, and more alive.

What’s inside the Playground?

“It was the first time in my life I felt the power of such wonderful and strong women. It was such a breathtaking experience.”

“I loved how it was not just about movement, but also about sharing stories and eating together. Felt like home.”
