When I first arrived, I didn’t just discover a country. I rediscovered myself.

Ghana taught me connection, conversation, vulnerability.

It showed me that feelings carry power — that every gesture, every story has a reason to exist.

Here, dance isn’t performance — it’s communication.

It’s how we meet, how we listen, how we love.

It rebuilt the bond between me and my body.

It brought me back to joy, to freedom, to play.

To the kid in me who isn’t judged — she’s celebrated.

From Camps to Residency

What began as two weeks of learning is evolving into a month of creation. 🔥

After 7 unforgettable editions of Ghana Dance Camp, we’re opening a new chapter: a 1-month artistic residency in Accra for dancers, storytellers, and cultural connectors who want to create from truth, not performance.

This is not a retreat. It’s a living, breathing, creative immersion — where culture, joy, and legacy meet in motion.

Over 4 weeks, you’ll dance, eat, explore, and co-create alongside Ghanaian artists and local communities. You’ll witness stories, traditions, and daily life in a way that moves you — and then turn it all into movement of your own.

This is a playground for those who feel dance is more than choreography. It’s connection.

What it looks and feels like inside the Residency:

  • 🕰 Duration

    One month in Accra — 1 week of immersion, 3 weeks of creation.

  • ☀️ Rhythm:

    Morning meditations, journaling, shared meals, 10–6 creative days, evenings of reflection & laughter.

  • 🎨 Structure:

    • Week 1 → Cultural immersion (classes, markets, food, local encounters)

    • Weeks 2–4 → Artistic creation (rehearsals, collaborations, community performance)

  • 👥 People:

    A blend of Ghanaian artists and international movers — dancers, poets, musicians, visual artists, dreamers.

    Curious, grounded, ambitious humans.

    No performance, no comparison.

    Just presence, contribution, and flow.

  • 🍲 Daily life:

    We live, eat, and breathe together — because creation happens in the spaces between rehearsals too.
